First Batch of Long Awaited S-300 Sent to Iran From Russia

Weapons are expected to be transported to the Islamic Republic from one of the ports in Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea. Launchers will be used for defensive purposes and only for the sake of security.

MOSCOW, Feb 18th  — RIA Novosti. “The first batch of anti-aircraft missile systems (AAMS) S-300 will be shipped from Russia to Iran on Thursday” – said the assistant to the head of the General staff of the armed forces of Iran Mustafa Izadi in an interview to Sputnik International.
